Norfalk’s innovative technology includes their unique approach to the production of surfactants, a key ingredient in detergents and cosmetics that promises a dramatic reduction in CO2 emissions.
“Our estimates show that our first product can reduce CO2 emissions by 40-70 percent, so we have a real opportunity to make a noticeable difference,” says Lasse Løber, Head of Marketing at Erhvervplus.
It’s safe to say that Kasper Falkenberg and Nicklas Nørgaard, the founders of the company, have earned a seal of approval after receiving financial support from recognized institutions. This emphasizes the potential sustainable impact Norfalk can bring to the industry. They have received an investment of DKK 23 million from the Bio Innovation Institute and the Danish Export and Investment Fund.
Started in The Kitchen
Kasper and Nicklas were classmates and wanted to use their thesis at Aarhus University as a springboard to start a business. They joined The Kitchen innovation hub with an idea targeting the textile industry, but as their understanding of the business grew, they ended up shifting towards the cosmetics industry.
