Dutch Channable has acquired Danish WakeupData to become the Nordic leader in product feed management.

Over the past 10 years, WakeupData has developed a range of tools that make it easy for brands and stores to promote products on online marketplaces, search engines, social media and more.

While the tools fit well with Channable’s digital marketing platform, they are now getting their first physical branch in Denmark, in the heart of Aarhus.

Today, WakeupData is the Nordic leader in product feed management, which is why the company was a natural fit for the Dutch multichannel platform Channable:

“We are very much looking forward to utilizing WakeupData’s tools and talents and building on our market-leading solutions. We have been in fair competition with each other for several years, but we share the same vision and values, so the acquisition process felt natural,” explains Rob van Neuen, CEO of Channable.

From growth to Nordic market leader

Ten years ago, not many people knew what product feed management was, but it was a need that arose among the customers of the marketing agency Web2Media in Aarhus, Denmark, as search engines like Google grew in e-commerce.

Web2Media allied with developer Dennis Cassøe and built the product feed solution on top of his software and established WakeupData together with him. Today, they have become one of the preferred partners for professional marketing agencies in the Nordic region, and today they service close to half of the major customers in the Nordic region within product feed management.

“With Channable’s strong platform and vast resources, we will have the best starting point to develop and help our customers. It will be easy to merge because Channable operates just like we would if we were that size,” says Steffen L. Jørgensen, CEO and partner at WakeupData.
