Renowned Danish software expert Morten Lave has been appointed CTO of JOYNED GmbH, an innovative startup based in Austria working to transform the audio networking industry. “We are entering an era where high quality and networked audio systems are becoming essential across many industries,” says Morten Lave in a press release.

JOYNED, which has ambitions to democratize network technology for the audio market, sees the hiring of Morten Lave as a significant strategic strengthening, where his many years of expertise will position JOYNED as one of the frontrunners in the industry.

Startups in a unique position

Throughout his career, Morten Lave has worked extensively with the development of innovative audio technologies. As a former executive board member of TC Group and CEO of TC Applied Technologies, he has been behind several complex projects and strategies in digital signal processing, hardware development and system design.

In his new role at JOYNED, he will focus on creating easy-to-use and accessible software solutions for networked audio. These solutions will simplify setup for professional audio engineers and ensure that microphones, speakers, and mixing consoles work seamlessly in connected systems.

“JOYNED is uniquely positioned to deliver scalable and flexible solutions that help audio professionals achieve compelling results, whether in a recording studio or at a live event,” says Morten Lave.

A key area for JOYNED is Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), a technology that enables audio equipment to communicate over a single network with high precision and sound quality. TSN simplifies traditional setups, which often require extensive cabling and can be prone to signal degradation.

Clear sound comes through to Denmark

Morten Lave is not the only connection the Austrian startup has to Denmark. JOYNED has a strong connection to Denmark through its collaboration with Sound Hub Denmark, based in Struer. JOYNED was selected as one of five global startups to participate in the prestigious SoundTech Accelerator Program and has also received support from SoundInvest, a leading Danish audio technology fund.

“We support JOYNED’s ambitions to democratize the audio networking market through their synchronized digital networking technology and look forward to continuing to work with their talented team to achieve these goals,” says Peter Petersen, CEO of Sound Hub Denmark.
