The startup journey can be tough. As a founder, it can be worth its weight in gold to get support for the challenges you face along the way.

That is the foundation for the BeyondBeta accelerator program at DigitalLead, Denmark’s national cluster for digital technologies. DigitalLead is a hub for digital innovation and every day DigitalLead advises and guides startups and scaleups with everything from pitchdeck to professionalization.

“As a member of DigitalLead, you become part of a strong network of digital companies where you can learn, spar and potentially create commercial collaborations,” says DigitalLead CEO Henrik Aarestrup. He continues:

“We connect you with knowledge environments that help solve technical digital challenges. We give you advice on how to scale your business, both financially and organizationally. We also connect you with investors and prepare you thoroughly for the meeting with them.”

One of the startups that has benefited from the support is the Danish tech company Roccai, which since its founding in 2022 has created and improved digital customer journeys using artificial intelligence.

When the founders needed to raise capital in the early startup phase, DigitalLead helped them with everything from reviewing investment materials to arranging contacts with investors.

“None of us three founders had tried to raise external capital before. Fortunately, DigitalLead is used to advising a lot of startups and they could quickly tell us where we were on the scale and what we needed to improve in terms of material, pitch and business model,” explains Nanna Ulsøe, co-founder of Roccai.

Last year, Roccai succeeded in raising the desired capital for the growth journey, says Nanna Ulsøe, who also recommends other entrepreneurs to follow the same path.

“In general, I think all startups should apply to a program like this. Having someone who sits down and really wants to help you is worth a lot. As entrepreneurs, it’s rare to have someone to share your journey and your success with.”
