Danish quantum software startup Kvantify has announced that it has secured DKK 75 million in a seed round.

The funding strengthens Quantify’s work in quantum mechanics, which focuses on life-science applications. The funds will be used to develop quantum algorithms that simulate chemical processes so that the scope of applications can be expanded across industries.

“On behalf of the founding team, we are incredibly excited about the closing of our EUR 10 million seed round, which marks a significant milestone for Kvantify. The funding not only validates our vision of leveraging quantum computing to revolutionize the life science industry, but also provides us with the necessary resources and strategic partnerships to accelerate our development and growth. With the support of new and existing investors, we are well positioned to continue to bring groundbreaking solutions to the market,” says Hans Henrik Knudsem CEO at Kvanity.

65 employees in two years

Kvantify was founded in 2022 by Hans Henrik Knudsen, Nikolaj Zinner and Allan Grønlund with the vision of offering software solutions to tackle big challenges in biotechnology and medicine.

Today, the company consists of over 65 experts in quantum mechanics, software development, mathematics, physics, chemical informatics and computational chemistry.

“With our investment in Kvantify, we are expanding our footprint and commitment to strengthening the Danish life science ecosystem. Quantum computers can deliver accuracy and risk reduction in the early stages of drug development to a level not possible with classical computers, enabling faster time to market. We are therefore excited about this opportunity and look forward to working with the Kvantify team to connect quantum computing and drug development for the future benefit of patients,” says Jacob Falck Hansen, Partner at Lundbeckfonden BioCapital.

Other notable investors include Redstone VC, 2xN and EIFO.
