“We believe that giving feedback to others tells a lot about a person’s ability to practice critical thinking and develop an idea to execution and scaling.”

-David Kofoed Wind and Jakob Lindmark Frier

Pitch For Peers is an online pitching contest for early-stage startups where founders won’t be battling on a stage in front of a jury. Instead, the founders submit their business pitch by answering questions on a web-platform and then give feedback on other founders’ pitches.

The founders who submit the best business plan and also master the art of feedback qualifies for the grand finale where they will pitch in front of a jury. The jury decides what business case will walk away with the grand prize of 20.000 DKK!

The final event is hosted by SingularityU Nordic at Titangade 11 on May 24.

Who will have access to the information I submit to Pitch for Peers platform?

  1. The other participants that are allocated to review your business pitch.
  2. The jury, judges and partners of Pitch for Peers.
  3. After the competition is over, we will ask for your permission to share great cases with other selected investors. If you do not wish to share your business pitch with them you can opt-out then.

How much time should I expect to put into submitting and reviewing?

Your business pitch should not be long, so you should not expect to spend more than 1-2 hours on writing it (if you know what you are doing). You will be reviewing 5 business pitches of approximately 2 pages each, and we expect this to take a 2-3 hours in total. Note that reading and reviewing ideas by others is one of the best ways to learn.

How will you decide on the winners?

Your final score will depend on:

  1. How good others think your business pitch is.
  2. How useful your feedback is according to the receivers.
  3. The judges additionally look through submissions and feedback to ensure that they agree.

In the end the peer reviews are combined with the scores by judges and the finalists are decided on.
