With gin in their glasses and technology on their minds, investors, entrepreneurs, mentors and other good people from the startup ecosystem gathered on Tuesday for the first edition of Gin & Tech at Incuba at the harbor in Aarhus.
Seven startups were given the opportunity to pitch their companies, after which there was a chance to network and make new acquaintances, potential customer contacts or get investors. The encouragement from Mai Louise Agerskov, CEO of Incuba, was that no one should go home until they had delivered at least three pieces of advice to the entrepreneurs.
The level of excitement, stage of businesses and ideas ranged widely. Learn more about the seven startups here:
The 7 startups that pitched:
Caddy Cruiser ApS: Two fellow students welcomed us to the world of golf with their handy golf bag trailers. With their smart solution, similar to the bike trailer, they want to make transportation to and from the golf course easier.
Clutch Nutrition: Introduced attendees to “Clutch Mindset”, a beverage designed to support functional nutrition without caffeine or artificial additives. Instead, the drink is made from selected plant extracts, dietary fiber and legumes.
PhoneStamp: Showed attendees a possible path to digitizing customer loyalty for small shops and cafés that are currently facing tough online competition. With their digital stamp cards, they hope to help increase brand value and collect data without compromising GDPR regulations.
QASE Tech: Took the participants on a space journey with their quantum- and spacetechnology education-kits. Their kits are designed to engage high school students in science and technology through hands-on experiments. They hope to connect orbiting satellites from space directly into the classroom.
Reevela:This afternoon’s English presentation introduced us to the world of interactive interiordesign using artificial intelligence. Their solution will allow guests to discover and purchase interior goods directly at boutique hotels and restaurants. Early on in their journey, they were openly looking for a new member to join their team.
VIXCO: Contract-management is a difficult discipline. Vixco wants to make legal documents more visual and therefore easier to understand. They aim to help organizations avoid wasted resources and increase internal trust.
Vorsa: Took us up in the helicopter with their aerodynamic alarm system, which in all its simplicity is designed to help pilots avoid crashing. After asking several pilots, they were surprised that the sensor-based alarm type doesn’t already exist.
